COLORSCAPES: Cecile's paintings

Another show opens this week on the same Friday, the 12th. Unfortunately, I'll miss this one which is too bad because you really need to see the paintings by Cecile Brunswick live, in big and bold colors. At least I am trying here to max out the screen space here so that you get some feel for the colorspaces she is creating. If the invitation postcard is an indication she will exhibit a number of paintings from a recent trip to Marocco, this one here shows a Fishing Village. Cecile is a superb landscape painter, at her best when she's painting or drawing gardens. Her versions of Central Park are a delight, and her "Gardens of the Mind" are my favorites. We can hardly wait to be finished with our remodel. Then we can bring out the few paintings of hers we have in our collection and rejoice for the sheer beauty of her colorscapes.
